See-Nepal Cultural Taste is a tour designed for all ages and fitness levels to experience the
Nepalese culture and view the magnificent mountain ranges. Explore the famous city "Kathmandu," the capital of Nepal where you will visit specially listed World Heritage sights.
Driving through the countryside to Pokhara and on to Chitwan National Park to enjoy a ride on an elephant, go canoeing or some leisurely bird watching or some of the many other activities available to you will fill your day.
Day 1. Sunday: Leave from SYD
Day 2. Monday: Bangkok to Kathmandu
Today you will arrive in Kathmandu. One of our representatives will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. There are no activities planned for today so enjoy a rest at the hotel or depending on your arrival time you may wish to explore the Thamel area and have dinner at one of the many quality local restaurants. If you feel tired you may eat in at the hotel and catch up on your jetlag.

Day 3.Tuesday: Kathmandu. Half day tour and leisure time
Today we will start our tour between 9.00-9.30 am. Our tour guide and driver will be waiting in the hotel lobby. Today we will tour the famous Buddhist Stupa, The Bauddhanath also called "Little Tibet " then on to the famous Hindu temple, The Pashupatinath. After a 15 minute drive we arrive at the Shyambunath (Monkey Temple) then a 10 minute drive to Thamel for lunch. After lunch we will take a short walk to Kathmandu Darwar Square. Our tour will be completed here for the day. You may choose to walk or enjoy a cab or rickshaw ride back to the hotel.
Day 4. Wednesday: Drive to Pokhara and leisure time in the afternoon
We will take a tourist bus to Pokhara taking approx. 7 hours. The total road distance is only 200km (about 165 miles) but the scenery is beautiful. We drive through the Nepali countryside, along the famous white water rafting river, Trishuli. We will spend a night in Pokhara. After checking in at your hotel, you can explore around the lake area, enjoy the shopping where you can pick up some great bargains and then have dinner at one of the excellent restaurants.
(A flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara for $90 is available if you choose not to take the bus.)
Day 5. Thursday: Trek to Aussie camp
A 35-45 minute drive to Kande and our trek begins. Our trail goes through a small village, which is right off the main road. Then we go up slowly to Australian Camp. From here our trail goes gradual flat to Pothana. A stop for lunch and then continue walking through a rainforest with a beautiful view of Fish Tail Mountain. We will stay the night at Aussie camp or go on to Pothana.
Day 6. Friday: Trek to Phedi via Dhampus and drive to Pokhara. Afternoon leisure
After watching the morning Mountain views, we walk down to Phedi via Dhampus and drive to Pokhara where we have a free evening.
Day 7. Saturday: Leisure time Pokhara. Optional walk up to Stupa via crossing the Phewa lake
Today is a full free day in Pokhara. You can go paragliding, have an ultra light flight or go boating on the lake and walk up to the Buddhist Stupa. These are all optional. We will arrange it as a group program among interested people. Later in the afternoon we will prepare for our early departure to Chitwan National Park.
Day 8. Sunday: Drive to Chitwan
After a 4-5 hour drive has us arriving at Chitwan National Park in time for lunch. We will then join the guides for some organised activities.
Day 9. Monday: Full day activities in Chitwan
Today is full of activities for you to choose from. Elephant ride, jungle walk, bird watching, canoe ride, elephant briefing etc. It is not necessary for everyone to participate in all the activities. If you are tired you can just rest and relax. In the evening we will meet and watch the local Tharu stick dance.
Day 10. Tuesday: Fly or Drive to Kathmandu
We will drive or fly to Kathmandu. In the evening we will join for a Nepali food cooking class.
Day 11. Wednesday: Bhaktapur & Patan Tour
Today we will do a full day of sightseeing, visiting Bhaktapur & Patan. These cities are world heritage sites. You will see beautiful wooden architecture, temples and local daily activities and cultures.
(Optional: If you are interested you may go on a Mt. Everest scenic Mountain fligh before sightseeing. This flight will take approx. 1hour and departs early in the morning.)
Day 12. Thursday: Free day in Kathmandu
This is your free day in Kathmandu. You can go shopping, go to your favorite places and do your packing to be ready for your next day departure from Nepal. In the evening we will have our farewell dinner at one of the many wonderful restaurants.
Day 13. Friday: Departure from KTM
Day 14. Saturday: Arrive in Sydney
